

Ronald A Delia, 76, of Toms River, NJ passed away surrounded by family on October 4th, 2022. He is survived by his partner Melva “Annie" McMillan, sons Matthew (Marissa) and Ryan (Fiorella), brother Anthony (Michelle), and sister Rosanne (Al). He has four grandchildren Carina, Gianna, Ledson, and Aria.
Ron was born in Long Island, NY to Anthony and Assunta Delia and then spent his early childhood in South Orange, before moving to Livingston, Roseland and ultimately retiring in Toms River, NJ. He served our country as a decorated Army soldier in the 196th Light Infantry Unit in Vietnam. Upon his return, he worked in construction and masonry before owning Delia’s Cleaners in Livingston.
Ron was a loving father, and grandfather. His newfound love for being a pop-pop brought him extreme joy and his kindness toward his grandchildren was immeasurable. He was a true handyman and always there to offer assistance and guidance to his family, particularly his sons. Ron had a love for food and many of his most enjoyable memories were with his family on Sundays whether it be at home or his favorite restaurant. He will be missed greatly.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral services on Monday, October 10th from 4-8 p.m. at Quinn Hopping Funeral Home located at 145 East Mount Pleasant Ave., in Livingston, NJ. Funeral mass will be offered Tuesday, October 11th at 10:00 a.m. at St Philomena R.C. Church located at 386 South Livingston Ave., in Livingston, NJ. The committal service will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in East Hanover, NJ.
