Scott taught me how to drive a stick shift car.  He'd drive the little white car to Coronado School playground, then we'd change places.  
I think Scott was 16 or17 and I was 14 or 15.  If Mama had known I would have been grounded for life because she was Principal of that school.  
Helen and Mama would have a great time talking in the living room, Pete watching basketball.....and 2 kids, never thinking about what would have happen if one of "Uncle Gooey's" (Luis Sotomayor)officers had known what we were up to.

My thoughts are with all the Drakulich family today.  Scott was a wonderful friend in our "growing up days".

No one has even made me feel so comfortable and made me laugh so hard.  Brilliant mind and soul. We are all fortunate to have been in his company. He wants us all to continue our lives in happiness.  Blessings.

My deepest condolences to Barbie and family. Scott was a dear colleague and I have great memories of working at Essex County College with him. It was in the elevator at ECC that Scott and I struck up a conversation about an upcoming vacation he would be taking to Portugal.  And that conversation turned into a connection that would be full of memories and fun times for my family for a few decades. We are so grateful for sharing time at the beach swimming in the ocean, and talking about movies and books, and sharing the many dinners cooked by Anibal and Barbie.  He was a wonderful mentor, friend and always gave the best hugs.   Scott and Barbie have a special place in our hearts.  We treasure the joy, laughter, and friendship. Scott was respected by all at Essex County College. When he spoke, he was serious, thoughtful, and committed to students.
After he retired, he joined the ECC Book Club, where he shared how his early life shaped whom he became. His insights into books that he shared was as thoughtful and helpful as his insights while he worked at ECC.
Scott was a good person, who lived a full life. I believe that I will see him in heaven, where he will be enjoying perfect health, his just rewards, and be with those he loved.

Dear Barbie and all the family,

This is a great loss. I have known and respected Scott as a colleague for more than fifty years, since the beginnings of Essex County College, where he made contributions in multiple ways; I still have one of his early demographic studies of our students. In recent years, when long-time Essex faculty members continued to gather in a book club, Bernie met Scott too, and we both came to know him as a valued friend. How we will miss his strong and unexpected insights about the books we read, and the glimpses he gave us into his path in life – starting with growing up on the border with Mexico. And we will miss his kindness.

Although we have not seen each other in far too long, Scottie was the closest friend I ever had in all my 81 years. 
He made me laugh harder than I ever have. 
He taught me more practical knowledge than anyone (including all my courses for a Master’s in Electrical Engineering & my 7 years at Sigma Alpha Epsilon). 
He got me to do things I will always treasure & never forget (but I hope Barbie has,     even if Jude has not). 
Our visits to Murray Hill, Leonardo, Atlantic City, etc will never be forgotten.
Supervising & interacting with the kids [Cynde, Petar & Chrissy] was best done by Barbie and Judy, as I, & perhaps Scott, were only good when told exactly what to do and what not to do.
The only time I could get an upper hand with Scott was at parties with his neighbors on Chamone Ave &/or his college colleagues.
Scott knew I would be tempted to tell a few of the many outrageous things we had done & therefore would go out of his way to pamper me. 
Although, I remember at one block party he took the microphone away from me and did not allow me to play some of my “wilder” music. (e.g., Frank Zappa).
God bless Barbie as she copes with losing the love of her life.

Barbie, Petar, Chris - Such a wonderful man and such a great family
to have as a next door neighbor for the 30 plus years you lived in
Leonardo.  I have many good memories from get togethers at your
house, block parties, helping take care of the dogs Scott brought
home to you, hearing all the laughter coming from your house (before air conditioning), I could go on and on.  I hope you can find

Dear Barbie,
Scott was my mentor when I started my career at IR office in 2011. He was kind, generous, and considerate. He encouraged me so much although I was a rookie in the field. Without him, I couldn’t become an IR officer. When I visited your home, he gave me a ride with an old fancy car. During the two years I spent with him, he had shown so much love and kindness.  Professor Drakulich was my psychology teacher in 2016. He loved his family and his time living in New Mexico as he often told us stories. He was a great teacher and left such an impression on me. You will truly be missed and may you rest in peace.

A wonderful soul has passed on to his new home. I will surely miss his jokes, his smile, his counseling, his hugs... I first started working with "Dr. Drakula" in 1992 when he was our head counselor. His personable nature and relaxed disposition always made me feel like he was always ready to lend an ear or a word of encouragement. Throughout the years, I would seek his advice on many issues and my heart sunk when he announced that he was retiring. In addition, once I heard about his illness, I was even more heart broken. May his soul rest in eternal peace with the rest of the angels. May God bless all of his loved ones as the remember the great times.

Dear Barbie and Petar, I can’t tell you how heavy my heart is now. Scott was a treasure. The kind of person you meet once in your life and never forget. Luckily, I had a long friendship with him. I think about all the things we did together the parties we had, after the fair the  boat trip to go swimming at 4 o’clock in the morning, you know the kind of things normal people do. To be with Scott with an adventure and I treasure every adventure I had with him. I will keep him in my prayers, and it goes without saying he will forever be in my memory.
