Teresa Elisabeth Perez

Born in Lima, Peru, Teresa was a beacon of strength, resilience, and love, embodying the spirit of a true matriarch. Teresa is survived by her devoted husband, Anibal Pérez, with whom she shared many cherished years. She was a loving mother to her three daughters, Lorena (Jensy) Jimenez, Elizabeth (Richard) Gabela, Teresa (Matthew) Brill, born from her previous union with Guillermo Casay, each of whom she supported and encouraged with unwavering love. Teresa was a proud grandmother to three grandchildren—Kasey Jimenez, Stanley Jimenez, and Jennifer Brill—two of whom are pursuing their education in college, and a precious one, less than a year old, who brought her immense joy in her last months of life. Each grandchild was a source of pride and joy, and she relished in their accomplishments and milestones.

Born one of eight siblings, Teresa's life was enriched by a large, supportive family, with whom she shared countless memories and bonds that remained strong throughout her life. Her siblings and extended family will miss her deeply, cherishing the legacy of love and unity she leaves behind. A hardworking woman, Teresa was known for her determination and work ethic, qualities that she passed down to her daughters and grandchildren. She approached every challenge with grace and resilience, creating a warm, loving home for her family and setting an example of perseverance. Teresa’s life was a testament to the power of love, family, and determination. Those who knew her will remember her warmth, her generous spirit, and the love she had for her family.

Visitation will be held at Quinn-Hopping Funeral Home, 145 E. Mt. Pleasant Ave., Livingston, NJ 07039 on Tuesday, September 26th, from 4:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m., with a prayer service beginning at 7:30 p.m. to celebrate Teresa’s life, where friends and family can gather to share stories and memories, honoring the remarkable woman she was.
