

Terry was born on July 15, 1948, in Newark, NJ, to parents, John and Helen (Kotarski) Minkowski. She graduated from Livingston High School in 1966. She continued her education, graduating from Cardinal Cushing College in Massachusetts with a Bachelor’s degree in Education. Terry went on to establish a career as an Elementary School Teacher, working for the Morris School District for over 30 years. She was a founding educator of the multi-age program at Normandy Park School. She led the development of the curriculum that is still active and highly effective today.
Terry was an active gardener. Her home garden was one of her absolute favorite places. She was active in the Livingston community serving as the Vice President of the Livingston Women’s Club. She volunteered her time and passion to many town clubs/organizations. Some of her favorite events were the annual block parties and town functions.
Terry was preceded in death by her loving parents John and Helen Minkowski. As well as her beloved four-legged companion, Juliet, that Terry rescued and sheltered. Juliet was never far from her side over the past dozen years.
Terry is survived by her beloved children: her son Brian and daughter-in-law Rebecca Allan and daughter Jennifer and son-in-law Christopher Susicke along with her beloved children’s father, Ronald Allan.
Family and friends are invited to attend a Visitation on Wednesday, June 10, 2026, from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Quinn Hopping Funeral Home, 145 East Mount Pleasant Ave, Livingston, NJ 07039, with a Prayer Service to take place at 6:30 pm.
