Thomas Joseph Dennis

Thomas J. Dennis, 86, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 11, 2014 at his home in Livingston surrounded by his loving family. Born in Newark, NJ, Thomas was raised in Irvington where he attended St. Leo’s School before moving to Livingston 52 years ago.

Thomas was a proud veteran of the U.S. Army, having served as a medic during the Korean Conflict. He worked as a salesman and installer of window treatments and hardware for over 40 years. He enjoyed oil painting, gardening, and cheering on his two favorite teams the NY Ranger and Giants.

Thomas is survived by his beloved wife of 58 years, Elizabeth. He is also survived by his loving children, Brian Dennis, Marie Magi and her husband Mark, Lisa Smith and her husband Daryl, and Geralyn Dennis, and his adoring grandchildren Christina, Kirk, Kevin, Matthew and Christopher, as well as many other family members.

Visitation will be held on Monday, June 16 from 4-8 PM at the Quinn-Hopping Funeral Home, 145 E. Mt. Pleasant Avenue, Livingston, NJ. Funeral will be offered from the funeral home on Tuesday, June 17 at 9 AM with mass to follow at St. Philomena’s Church, Livingston, at 10AM. Burial will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery,

E. Hanover.
