William P. Payne

William P. Payne, 63, passed away on Saturday, May 9, 2015, at Care One of Livingston. His family will receive relatives and friends at the Quinn-Hopping Funeral Home of Livingston, 145 E. Mt. Pleasant Ave., on Tuesday, May 12, 2-4 and 7-9 PM. The Mass of Christian Burial celebrating his life will be offered at St. Philomena’s Church, 386 S. Livingston Ave., Livingston, will be on Wednesday, May 13 at 10 AM followed by the committal service at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Hanover.

William was born in Havana, Cuba and had lived in Belleville before moving to Livingston 26 years ago. He received his sociology degree from Jersey City State and retired in 2013 as a circulation manager for the Star Ledger after 25 years. Bill enjoyed coaching his two sons Livingston baseball teams throughout their little league years.

William is survived by his wife, Michele (Marelli) and his two sons, William M. (and his wife Vikki) and Michael B.
