Agnes Teresa Marr

Agnes Teresa Marr of Longmont, Colorado, died December 10, 2006 at her residence surrounded by her family. She was 78.Agnes was born November 16, 1928 in Providence, Rhode Island to William Donahue and Ann Walsh Donahue. She was raised in Providence, graduating from St. Mary?s Academy of the Visitation, ranked second in her class of 1948.She was married to John Hobart Marr on April 7, 1951 in Providence, Rhode Island. The Marr's moved back to John?s hometown of Longmont in 1952. Mrs. Marr worked for 30 years for the St. Vrain School District as an administrator for various departments, retiring in 1992. She was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church and the American Legion Auxiliary.Preceding her in death were her husband; four brothers, Anthony, John, Joseph, and James Donahue; and two sisters, Rose Booth and Mary Zimarowski.Surviving are four sons, Tom Marr and his wife, Debbie, of Broomfield, David Marr and his wife, Wendy, of Longmont, Michael Marr and his wife, Rosemarie, of Longmont, and Gary Marr and his wife, Laurel, of Buffalo Grove, Illinois; two daughters, Regina Cheyney and her husband, Ron, of Longmont and Kay Kimbrough of Denver; a sister Helen Rotando and her husband, Mike, of Hanover, Pennsylvania; 10 grandchildren Andrea Harroun, Guy and Jessie Grigsby, and Kathryn, Michael Jr., Sean, Cori, Ryan, Allison, and Tim Marr; and 4 great-grandchildren.Visitation hours will be from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 13, and 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Thursday, December 14, at the Howe Mortuary Chapel. Vigil services will be held at 7:00 p.m., Thursday, December 14 at the Howe Mortuary Chapel with Deacon Bob Howard officiating. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1:30 p.m., Friday, December 15, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church with the Reverend Brian Morrow as Celebrant.
