Albert Harold Walker

Albert Harold Walker, 93, of Longmont died November 6, 2011 at Life Care Center of Longmont.Albert was born August 24, 1918 in Johnstown, CO to George and Anna (Hoff) Walker.He graduated from High School and later joined the Army Air Corps and fought in the Pacific/Asian Theater during WWII. He married Mary Riegel in Longmont, CO on May 31, 1946. Albert was a farmer and moved to Longmont from rural Erie in 1979. He attended Calvary Church.He was preceded in death by his wife Mary, son Stanley, his parents, one brother Paul Walker, and four sisters, Gladys Lebsack, Elma Stoppel, Carrie Vogel and Florence Peppler.He is survived by six daughters Cheryl (Warren) Jaeger, Cyndee (Larry) Ladwig, Cristy (Curtis) McMillin, Mary Ann (Brad) Harvey, Karen (Scott) Malson, Vicki Jordan, and Shelley Walker; one sister, Alvena Vogel; 14 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.Memorial service 2 PM Friday Nov. 11, 2011 at Calvary Church. Memorial contributions may be made to Calvary Church in c/o Ahlberg Funeral Chapel. Inurnment at Foothills Gardens of Memory.
