

Ramona was born on October 7, 1931 in El Llano, New Mexico to Roman Romero and Aurora Martinez Romero. The family moved to Colorado in 1947. She attended school through high school in Mead.
Ramona married Filano Jose Anaya on July 3, 1969 in Boulder.
In addition to being a loving wife and mother, Ramona held various jobs in Longmont. She worked as an assembler for Gould Battery for a few years, as well as for Longmont United Hospital in central supply retiring in 1991.
Ramona was an active member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, where she was a member of Coro San Juan, their Spanish choir. She also faithfully prepared food for the Altar and Rosary Society.
Preceding her in death are her parents, husband Joe, son Jeff “Beaver” Cordova; a sister Theodorita Romero Cordova; and brothers Thomas, Onofre, Roman, and Bernabe Romero.
Surviving are her daughters Jane (Raleigh Cross) Garcia of Longmont; Diane (Gilbert) Arizmendi of Milliken, Colorado; and Beverly Rosales of Denver; sons Ernie (Diana) Cordova of Sneadsferry, North Carolina; Patrick (Diane) Cordova of San Jose, California; Dean (Linda) Cordova of Longmont and Andrew (Alejandra) Anaya of Montebello, California; 20 grandchildren; 40 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren.
Recitation of the Rosary will be held at 6:00 p.m., Wednesday, April 19 at the Howe Mortuary Chapel. Mass of the Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, April 20 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church.
Interment will follow at Longmont Mountain View Cemetery.
