

Allison Clare Blue passed away in Longmont on Feb. 15, 2022. She was born on Jan. 12, 1964 in Greeley CO. to Mary K. and Dr. Keith Blue. Her parents had graduated from UNC and were both teachers in the Greeley public schools. Allison went to schools in Loveland, Arvada and graduated from Longmont High School. She was a loving, free spirited, bubbly person and enjoyed spending time at the Ball family cabins in Estes Park CO. with her Oregon and Colorado cousins, and her best friend Karin Lutes.
She was next to the oldest, of the clan; her brother Ken was three years older. Allison was a loving motherly figure to Sadie and Sadie's son Duke, and also to her grandson, Tenzin Ventura. Both her mother Mary and Allison spent a lot of time with Sadie growing up in Longmont.
She attended the First Methodist Church with her mother and was a substitute in the bell choir.
For many years she was the hostess at Aunt Alice's Kitchen on North Main in Longmont and had many friends and acquaintances through her work there at Aunt Alice's Kitchen. She will be remembered as a giving and loving person and friend.
She is survived by her Mother Mary of Longmont, her aunt Jan and uncle Robert Ball of Seaside OR, her uncle Richard Ball of Loveland and aunt and uncle Kay and Frank Backstrum of Ault, Colorado. Her Grandparents were Judge Conrad and Clara Ball of Loveland. She is survived by cousins: Nicole and Chris Ball of CA, Laura and Lindsay Ball of OR, Sherry Backstrum of CO, Erika Ball of CO, and Tiffany Ball-Zerges of NY.
Her father Keith Blue of Denver Colorado, and her brother Kenneth Blue, of Concord Calif. preceded her in death.
Services of celebration will be at the Heart of Longmont (First Methodist Church), 350 11th Ave. 80501, on Saturday March 5, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. followed by a luncheon catered by Aunt Alice's Kitchen in the fellowship hall.
