Amanda Jean McKenzie, of Longmont, died June 18, 2011 at her home after a lengthy illness. She was 23 years old.Amanda was born on February 15, 1988 in Columbia, Missouri, the eldest daughter of Lloyd and Patricia (Brosnan) McKenzie. Amanda moved to Longmont in 1997 from Missouri.Amanda liked to watch musicals and movies. She loved music, especially country, and her favorite musicians were Elvis and Garth Brooks.Amanda is survived by her parents, Lloyd and Patricia McKenzie of Longmont; three younger brothers, Mark, Neil, and James McKenzie and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.A funeral service will be held at 10AM on Friday, June 24, 2011 at Ahlberg Funeral Chapel. Interment at Longmont Mountain View Cemetery. .
