

Amelia ?Amy? C. Stapp of Longmont died January 20, 2007 at her residence. She was 87.Mrs. Stapp was born on February 1, 1919 in Fort Morgan, Colorado to David Sigwardt and Molly Naeb Sigwardt. She was the oldest of 8 children born to German immigrant farmers. She assisted in not only the farm responsibilities, but also the upbringing of her younger sisters and brothers.She graduated from Brighton High School, Brighton, CO in 1937. On November 20, 1940 she married Robert A. Stapp in Cheyenne, Wyoming.The Stapp?s moved to Longmont in 1974 and opened Longmont Toyota. She was an active part of the company working six days a week, as an office manager and a corporate officer until her retirement, just two years ago. She recently lent her input for the name change to Stapp Interstate Toyota, as the dealership moves to their new location in the fall of 2007.Preceding her in death were her husband Robert A. Stapp and a grandson Kyle Stapp.Surviving are her sons Robert A. Stapp, II and his wife Julie Masterson and Arthur Stapp and his wife Debbi both of Longmont, three grandchildren Brion Stapp and his wife Elizabeth, Clinton Stapp and Lynsey Peterson and her husband Josh all of Longmont; 4 brothers Leroy Sigwardt of Greeley, Reuben Sigwardt of Brighton, Melvin Sigwardt of Mesa, Arizona, Albert Sigwardt of Brighton, three sisters Lydia Henkel of Greeley, Virginia Lyon of Chatsworth, CA and Esther Norenberg of Greeley; and 4 great grandchildren.A visitation will be held from 12:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, January 24 at the Howe Mortuary. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, January 25, 2007 at the Howe Mortuary Chapel, with Pastor Larry Lewis of the First Church of the Nazarene, Greeley, officiating.
