Andrew S. Brunet, 38, passed away on Wednesday, July 26, 2023 as the result of a motorcycle accident.
Andrew was born in January 1985 to Steve and Cathy (Langland) Brunet. Andrew was a typical, happy bouncy boy who along with his baby brother, Brian, suffered the unexpected loss of his mother at the age of three. After a while, Steve married Lori Walter who provided the mom in Andrew’s life that he was missing. Andrew became a proud older brother once again when Curtis was born in 1992. The family started attending Grace Evangelical Free Church when Andrew was about six years old. He grew up going to Sunday School, Bible School, Youth Group, Awana, and participated in mission trips, car rallies, etc. He had great interest in sports, playing soccer and football, and learned to play the trumpet and drums.
Andrew graduated from Ute Creek Secondary Academy in 2003. Young adulthood proved to be very challenging; he stumbled on the path of life but found his footing again with age and wisdom. He had a lot of heart and was very loyal to his family. In 2016 Andrew united the brothers over a shared interest of music when they began jamming together on guitars and drums. They have been making music together since. His brothers will especially miss those jam sessions whenever they could get together and play.
Andrew worked at many different jobs over the years, including car detailer, retail sales, construction and farm laborer, and as a low volt electrician. In 2022, he completed a VDV Apprenticeship and was a member of Local Union 68. He recently became an instructor for the apprenticeship program.
Andrew always had an avid interest in cars, motorcycles, and sports. He loved cheering on the Denver Broncos, as well as enjoying the Av’s and Nuggets winning national championships. Andrew was a big fan of NASCAR, and particularly liked Martin Truex, Jr. He will really be remembered for being an integral part of our family. He has the reputation of being one of the most fun uncles on the planet. He never missed a family function.
Andrew was preceded in death by his mother, Cathy. He is survived by his parents, Steve and Lori, brothers Brian and Curtis, sister-in-law Bryana, nephew Levi, niece Lexi, grandmother Julie Brunet, and grandparents Delmer and Linda Walter.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, August 5 at 10:00 a.m. at Grace Evangelical Free Church, 2415 Lake Park Drive in Longmont.
