Angus Alan al"" Morris

Angus Alan ?Al? Morris, of Lyons, Colorado died of cancer at his home Monday morning, March 20, 2006. He was 71 years old. The son of Angus and Lucile (Parcels) Morris, he was born March 11, 1935 in Parowan, Utah. He grew up and attended schools in Parowan, graduating from high school in 1953. On June 19, 1953 Al married Faye Stapley in Cedar City, UT. The couple lived in California for several years before moving to Lyons, Colorado in 1970. Al was a machinist by trade, and was very passionate about his profession. One of his jobs was machining parts used in the Apollo space program. He loved golfing, as well as hunting, fishing, camping, working on cars, and playing guitar. His wife, Faye, preceded him in death. Al moved to Henderson, Nevada following her death in 1996. On August 23, 2002 he married Beverly Long, of Lyons, in Henderson, NV; he then returned to Lyons where they made their home. The couple loved to travel the country together, and they were rarely found at home.Al is preceded in death by his first wife, his sister Lucile ?Bobby Lou? Morris, and his granddaughter Emily Morris. He is survived by his wife Beverly; 2 sons, Jerry Morris and his wife Kelly, Joseph Morris and his wife Kim, all of St. John, U.S. Virgin Islands; 2 daughters, Colleen Divine of Estes Park, CO and Linda Kuklinski and her husband Jerry of Milliken, CO; 9 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren; his brother James Morris and wife Carol of Granada Hills, CA; sister Judy Valentine and husband Eugene of Henderson, NV; step-sons Kyle Long and his wife Yanesia of Sterling, CO, David Long and his wife Rhonda of Lyons, CO, and Jeff Long and his wife Raylene of Salem, UT; step daughters, Leann Paul and her husband Gardell of Ava, MO and JaNae Parker of Sterling, CO; 19 step-grandchildren and 5 step-great-grandchildren; brother-in-law Ray Stapley and his wife Afton of Cedar City, UT; sisters-in-law Norma Neilsen and husband Don of Grantsville, UT, and Penny Albrecht and her husband Richard of Ninersville, UT.Visitation hours from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday at Howe Mortuary in Longmont, CO. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Lyons, 200 2nd Ave., Bishop Don Parks officiating. Interment will follow at Lyons Cemetery. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Howe Mortuary in Longmont.
