

Born August 29, 1920 in New York City, to George Dreyman and Marie Saar Dreyman.
Anita attended the Julliard School of Music, where her love of music blossomed, and graduated from the prestigious Katherine Gibbs School for Executive Training, NYC. They were famously known as the school where all students took their dictation class in elbow length gloves.
Anita married Roland Tamm on February 14, 1948, in Killingworth, CT. Both proud Estonians by heritage - Anita 1st generation, Roland immigrating in 1947, gratefully becoming a citizen of the United States where he wed his beloved. Theirs was a love story, lasting 62 years. Anita was much loved and admired for her compassionate and charitable nature, wonderful sense of humor, her love of life, especially people, along with her eternal quest for knowledge. Many said she was like a second mother to them.
Anita and her family moved from Valley Stream, New York to Boulder, CO in 1973. In New York, she was Chief Financial Officer for her husband's construction business for twenty years. While in Boulder, she was an Accountant, with her last and longest position at Downing/Leach and Associates, Architects.
She was the longest active member of the Boulder Business and Professional Women's Association, and held many offices, including President. A member of Eastern Star since her marriage to Roland, a Shriner, she also participated in Shriner's events. Anita was a long-time, devoted member of Mount Calvary Lutheran Church in Boulder, where her services will be held. She had many friends, and was active in her Fairview Estates neighborhood since 1976, where Roland and she built their beautiful home with breathtaking grounds, complete with charming lily pond, vineyard, garden, art studio (home to Resident Artist Jon Tamm / Cove Gallery), landscaped with spectacular trees and marvelous views of the Rocky Mountains.
Preceding her death are her husband, Roland Tamm, and her brother, George Andrew Dreyman.
Surviving are her children: George (Evie) Tamm of Longmont, CO, Kristina (Haldor) Tamm-Finnerud of Olympia, WA, Lea Timmons of Dallas, TX, Heidi (Ron) Vertrees of Sharpsburg, MD, and Jon Tamm of Boulder, CO. Also, her sister, Connie Dreyman of Union City, CA, and nine grandchildren: Eric & Michael Tamm, Kat & Samantha Tompkins, Brianna Timmons, Christopher & David Hale, Thomas & Rachel Vertrees and two great grandchildren: Allissa Jennings and Logan Lucca.
A viewing will be held at Mount Calvary Lutheran Church, 3485 Stanford Court, Boulder on Thursday, April 28, 2016, from 6:30 - 8:00 p.m., and again on Friday, April 29, 2016 from 9:30 - 10:30 a.m., followed by the funeral service, which begins at 10:30 a.m. and a church luncheon at noon (with an open microphone for friends and extended family to share memories of Anita). Following this time at church will be a burial service, where Anita will be laid to rest at Mountain View Cemetery at 2 p.m, 620 11th Ave., Longmont, CO.
