Anthony John Dageenakis, known lovingly to family and friends as Tony and fondly by his nieces and nephews as Uncle Butch, peacefully passed away on June 7, 2026, with his loving wife by his side in Longmont, Colorado. He was 80 years old.
Born on June 29, 1945, in Johnstown, New York, Anthony grew up with a strong work ethic and a generous spirit that would define his entire life. He built an early career in fiber optics before embarking on what would become his most recognized professional achievement, establishing himself as one of Boulder's finest and most respected mechanic shop owners. Through decades of dedicated service, he earned the trust and admiration of countless customers and colleagues who came to know him as a man of unwavering honesty and integrity.
On January 29, 1972, Anthony married Linda Louise Pizzachino, beginning a partnership built on love and devotion that would span more than fifty-three years. Together they raised two children, and among Anthony's proudest moments were those spent with his family, including the joy of welcoming two beautiful grandchildren into his life.
Anthony's generosity extended well beyond his home and business. He volunteered as a soccer, t-ball, and basketball coach for the Boulder Valley School District, dedicating his time and energy to mentoring young athletes in the community. His kindness and respectful nature left a lasting impression on every player fortunate enough to learn from him.
When he was not working or coaching, Anthony could be found in his workshop pursuing his passion for woodworking, tending to mechanical projects, or planning trips to Mexico with his family. He approached each of these pursuits with the same care and enthusiasm that characterized everything he did.
Anthony is survived by his beloved wife, Linda Dageenakis; his daughter, Nicole Dageenakis; his son, Damon Dageenakis; daughter-in-law Amy; as well as Layla Dageenakis and Hudson Dageenakis, his cherished grandchildren. He leaves behind a legacy of kindness, generosity, and quiet strength that will continue to inspire all who knew him.
May his spirit find eternal peace and rest.
A Celebration of his Life will be held on Monday, June 29, 2026 from 4:00 to 6:00 pm at the Life Care Center on the second floor terrace located 2451 Pratt Street, Longmont, Colorado 80501.
