Antonio "Tony" Gutierrez

It is with profound sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Antonio “Tony” Gutierrez, who left us far too soon on August 10, 2026, at the age of 42.

He was born on July 14th, 1984, to Antonio Gutierrez and Wendy Smith. He was born into a small family with 1 brother and 1 sister, who he loved with all his heart. Growing up he was full of energy, along with his selfless and welcoming nature.

Tony married the love of his life Sarah Gutierrez on October 20, 2011, in a beautiful ceremony. Together they welcomed 3 beautiful blessings, along with their beloved fur-babies Gary and Oscar.

Tony was a loving husband, father, son, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend. He was the kind of person who could make you laugh, speak his mind with honesty, and bring his own unique presence into every room. He was humorous, outspoken, and true to himself in every way. Those who knew Tony will remember the warmth of his personality and the meaningful impact he had on those around him.

He took great pride in his work as an arborist, where his love for nature and the outdoors truly shined. He enjoyed being up in the trees, working with his hands, and appreciating the beauty of the world around him. All while being afraid of heights. Outside of work, Tony was a passionate football fan, especially loyal to the Raiders, never missing a chance to cheer them on. He also loved spending time on the golf course, where he could relax, laugh with friends, and enjoy the game. At home, Tony found joy in collecting comic books and building Legos, hobbies that reflected his fun, creative, and youthful spirit. He took an interest in video games such as Madden; he often shared his love of video games with his kids. The family loved his cooking, especially his world-famous chicken wings and assorted grilled foods.

Tony was a devoted husband to his wife, Sarah, and a loving father to his three children, Antonio, Amelia, and Isabella. His children were the center of his heart and his greatest legacy. He also leaves behind his parents, Antonio and Wendy, his sister Arlee, brother Jose, his grandmother, Merced Guerreo, nieces Alexandra, Jaslene and Olivia, nephews Jose, Aaron, and Deacon, along with many cousins, extended family members, and friends who loved him dearly.

He will be greatly missed by all who knew him for his beautiful personality and kind spirit.

The family asks that donations be made to his loving wife and kids in addition to flowers.

Visitation will be held at the Howe Mortuary Chapel, 439 Coffman Street, Longmont, Colorado 80501, on August 20, 2026, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am, with a funeral service beginning at 11:00 am.

A Reception will follow in the Howe Mortuary Reception Room, on August 20, 2026, at 12:00 pm, light refreshments will be served.

Graveside Committal will take place at Longmont Mountain View Cemetery, 620 11th Avenue, Longmont, Colorado 80501, on August 20, 2026, at 1:00 pm.
