Arthur J Moreno

Arthur John Moreno, Sr., 72, of Longmont, died July 14, 2015 at his home. He was born October 26, 1942 in Mead, Colorado to Tony O. Moreno and Elizabeth Abreo. Following his high school graduation he enlisted in the U.S. Navy and was honorably discharged on October 26, 1964.

On June 11, 1982 he married Victoria Vela in Reno, NV. Over the years Art worked for IBM, Neodata and Storage Tek before becoming a sales associate at Home Depot. He was of Catholic faith.

Preceding him in death are his mother Elizabeth Abreo Moreno and his father Tony Moreno, a brother Marcelo Moreno and a sister Peggy Ibarra.

Survivors include his wife Victoria of Longmont, his son John (Shawna) Moreno, Jr of Dublin, CA; his daughters Jean (Les) Lunsford of Evans, Colorado, Mary (Cesar Quinonez-Trevizo) Moreno of Longmont, Charlene (Bobby) Martin of Manteca, California and Elizabeth (Rich) Arrellano of Fremont, California. He is further survived by his sisters Pauline (Joe) Sandoval of Longmont and Patricia (Tom) Sanchez of Thornton, 14 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

A Vigil Service will be held at 7:00 pm on Monday, July 20, at Howe Mortuary Chapel. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 am on Tuesday, July 21, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Longmont. Interment will follow at 1:30 pm at Fort Logan National Cemetery, Denver, CO.
