Barbara Frances Male

Barbara Frances Male, 78, died June 22, 2006 at her residence at Hover Manor in Longmont.Barbara, ?Barb,? was born January 1, 1928 in Sagamore, Massachusetts to Leslie Clayton and Elizabeth B. (Gibbs) Haynes. She grew up and attended school in Milford, MA. After graduation from high school, Barb went to Afton, New York where she met and married Clayton E. Male on July 18, 1947.Barb worked as a loan officer for the CU Credit Union for 23 years. She was an avid bowler and long-time officer of the Longmont Women?s Bowling Association. She also loved watching sports and was a CU football season ticket holder for 30 years. She did crocheting, and will be remembered for her friendly and outgoing personality; for being a dog lover; for her Christmas ?chocolates,? and for her white teddy bear collection.Her parents and her husband, and four brothers preceded Mrs. Male in death.Surviving are a son, Les Male and his wife Becky of Raymond, Colorado, a daughter, Donna Short and her husband Randy of Longmont, CO; four grandchildren: Michele Angulo and her husband Carlos of Lakewood, CO, Christopher Short of Dover, Delaware, Ryan Short of Longmont, CO and Joshua Male of Houston, Texas/ and three great-grandchildren, Emma, Clayton, and Caleb, all born in the past year.A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, June 28 at 11:00a.m. at Longs Peak United Methodist Church with Reverend Amos Kariuki officiating. An inurnment of both Clayton and Barb will take place at a later date in Afton, New York.
