Her father was the mayor of White City, Kansas where she lived from birth until school age when she moved to Longmont, Colorado. Eventually the family moved to Redmond, Washington where she graduated from Redmond High School. She attended college in the Seattle area before moving back to Colorado where she met her forever love Eric L. Rademacher at a house party. They married on July 1st, 1974. They spent just two months shy of 52 wonderful years together. During this time, they raised their beautiful family in Longmont, Colorado.
Barbara worked in the retail field for 33 years before transferring to work in the medical field at a local hospital for 12 years. Eventually she retired in March of 2020. Together Barbara and Eric provided a rich and full life for their children and grandchildren.
Barbara was a fun-loving person who was always kind and thoughtful. She was adored by everyone she met. She was the kind of person who remembered even the smallest details of a conversation, often surprising you months later with a beautifully wrapped gift inspired by them. She was an amazing and creative cook and shared these traits with her two sons who were often in the kitchen sneaking bites as she cooked. Every summer she would prepare meals with the fresh corn, zucchini, tomatoes, and cucumbers from Eric’s garden. Every fall she hosted a pumpkin harvest for her extended family. In the winters she would make green chili which was a crowd favorite.
Barbara is survived by her beloved husband Eric L., her wonderful sons Eric S. and Ross, stepchildren Steven and Kristi, her brother Brad and sister Jan. Along with her grandchildren Kenlee, Jack, Poppy, Charlotte, Adele, and Graham, and her step-grandchildren Kody, Kyle, Aura, Carter, and Jack.
Barbara is preceded in death by her parents Benjamin and Mary Blythe.
