Barbara Ann Spenner

Barbara Ann Spenner passed away peacefully Sunday June 9, 2024, in Longmont, Colorado. Barbara was born to Wilbur and Marguerite Metz on April 22, 1939, in Boulder, Colorado. She graduated from Erie High School in 1957, and worked at Travelers Insurance Company in Denver CO. She also worked with the hearing-impaired children at Longs Peak Junior High and then worked at Dyers Hallmark. Barbara married Jerry Spenner on July 23,1960 at St John the Baptist Catholic Church in Longmont. She was a long time member of St John the Baptist Catholic Church and the Holy Spirit Circle of the Altar and Rosary Society. She was an avid sports fan especially when watching the Denver Broncos & Colorado Rockies. Barbara had an incredible love for her family and friends and cherished the special times she shared with each one.

Barbara is survived by her husband of 63 years Jerry, 3 children Marjie (Greg) Benson, Donna (Kevin) Weber, Ed (Vicki) Spenner, four grandchildren Carley Benson, Grant Benson, Blake (Alexandra) Weber, DJ Weber. Survivors also include her extended family of Sister-in-laws, Brother-in-law, Nieces, and Nephews.

Prayer Service will be held Monday June 17th 6pm at Howe Mortuary. Funeral will be held at 10am Tuesday at St John Baptist Catholic Church, reception to follow at American Legion John Harold Buckley Post 32. In lieu of flowers, please consider making memorial contributions to Meals on Wheels or any charity of your choosing.
