Beatrice 'bea' V. Overturf

Beatrice Viola ""Bea"" Overturf, of Longmont, Colorado, died Sunday, August 13, 2006 at Applewood Living Center. She was 94 years old.Bea was born June 18, 1912, in Pearl, Illinois, to George and Nora (Long) Renoad. She moved with her family from Illinois to Longmont in 1928. On August 28, 1929, Bea married Glen Uel Overturf in Longmont.Mrs. Overturf was a member of Westview Presbyterian Church. She had worked for 18 years as a server at the Callahan House. Bea also enjoyed tending to her gardens where she grew beautiful flowers and juicy strawberries. She is survived by two daughters, Donna Davis and her husband, Duane, of Lebanon, Oregon, and Doris Brack and her husband, Robert, of Longmont; and by two sisters, Carrie McPherson and Eula Ricks, both of Longmont. She is further survived by five grandchildren, Kathy (Bob) Evans, Barbara (Dave) Cozad, Richard (Michelle) Brack, Loraine (Joe) Sarnacki, and Arlene (Bill) Pavlisick; four great grandchildren, Richelle, Mitchell and Micade Brack, and Christopher Sarnacki; two step-great grandchildren, Bethany Evans and Bruce Pavlisick; and by numerous nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by her husband on July 24, 1975; by her parents; and two brothers and a sister. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 16, 2006 from 4 to 7 p.m. at Howe Mortuary, Longmont. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, August 17, at Westview Presbyterian Church with Reverend Bruce McQueen officiating.
