April 17, 1934 – September 5, 2020
Beryl E.F. Worland passed away September 5th at home after a long battle with Parkinson's disease.
She was born in Harrow, Middlesex, England April 17, 1934 to Arthur and Edith Briggs. After graduating school, she went to work as a secretary for Kodak. Beryl married Leonard Worland on October 1, 1956. They moved to Crawley, Sussex where they had two daughters, Susan and Sally. Unfortunately, Susan passed away in 1966 after cardio surgery.
Beryl and family came to the United States in 1968, and lived in Milford, Massachusetts for six months before packing up and traveling cross country to San Diego, California. After six months, they drove to Colorado, and settled in Longmont. In 1971, son Stephen was born and joined the family. Beryl loved writing stories and poems (which have been compiled into a book), and knitting (especially for babies). She was a member of ESA (Gamma Pi) where she was past president; and attended St. Stephens Episcopal Church where she was involved with the Altar Guild for many years. Beryl was also involved in the Longmont Theatre for many years; and also involved with the teen pregnancy organization through the St. Vrain Valley School district.
In addition to her husband Leonard, daughter Sally (David Wood), son Stephen (Lori Rae), Beryl is survived by three grandchildren, Gavin Worland, Andrew Wood (Tiffany), Brittannia (Aaron Rice), and four great grandchildren. Beryl was preceded in death by her mum & dad, brother Fred and daughter Susan. Donations can be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, or the Parkinson’s Foundation.

We have such fond memories of visiting Beryl and Len in the English shop on Main Street. It was a Saturday tradition to drop by for some goodies and sweets for our children. We were so glad to be able to introduce our first grandchild to Beryl, a reminder of how long she had been a part of our lives. We send our deepest sympathies and love to Len and their family xx

For many years Beryl and Len were fixtures at the Longmont Theater helping with whatever needed to be done. It was always interesting to chat with them - it was almost inevitable that you would go away with some additional wisdom and a positive attitude. RIP!

Beryl was such a lovely woman and I will always think fondly of her smile and her gentle nature. You were a wonderful husband to her and I know she adored you so. It was always so touching to see you both together and I want to thank you for being such a strong witness to the beauty of marriage.
I know that she has left a huge hole in our world but has brought such joy in heaven!
May God bless you in this difficult time, and strengthen you until you can see your beautiful bride again in paradise.
