Beulah Lucille Bea"" Hansen

Beulah “Bea” L. Hansen, 88 of Longmont died January 13, 2013 at LifeCare Center. Bea was born June 15, 1924 in Webster, Kansas to Harry and Agusta Belle (Keeten) Van Allen. Bea married John P. Hansen on February 4, 1945 in Phillipsburg, KS. She was a switchboard operator in her professional life. Bea and John came to Longmont in 1946 from Kansas.

Bea enjoyed bowling, camping, poker, bingo and going to the Blackhawk casinos. She was also the Vice President of the 3rd Floor Council at Life Care Center of Longmont. Bea was a 28-year survivor of breast cancer.

Survivors include two sons, John Hansen (Linda) of Phoenix, Arizona, Don Hansen (Sharon) of Aurora, one daughter, Barb Gregerson (Kenny) of Longmont, 9 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren. Other survivors include three sisters-in-law, Phyllis Van Allen, Eleanor Ford, Ellen Hansen and one brother-in-law Gene Heinz. Bea was preceded in death by her parents, husband and brother Cecil Van Allen and sister Louise Carter.

Visitation will be Wednesday, January 16th from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Community Room of Howe Mortuary.

Funeral Services will be Thursday, January 17th 11:00 a.m. at the Howe Mortuary Chapel. Interment will be 2:00 p.m. at Foothills Gardens of Memory.
