Beverly Rose (Bev) was born April 26, 1935 in Los Angeles, California to Robert Manning Moffitt and Rose Ann Bryant. She had one older brother, Daniel, and three younger sisters; Colleen, Patricia and Emma Jean. The family moved to Colorado in 1943. Her father was a truck driver and her mother was a homemaker and seamstress.
She was married for 66 years to Thomas G. Trostel (1951-2018). She had five children by the time she was 26: Debra, Thomas, Jr., Martin, Leilani, and Rebecca. She had 9 grandchildren: Matthew, Clayton, Tyler, Evan, Kindra, Erika, Lukaus, Jacob and Kathryn as well as 19 great-grandchildren: Isabelle, Miles, Ava, Tate, Coen, Tess, Cade, Livy, Teal, Layne, Eva, Hunter, Sadie, Hannah, Jay Dean, Dru, Duke, and Bear.
In her younger days, she liked to golf, ski, jet-ski, fish, travel, take pictures, and watch soap operas with her grandchildren. She was an avid Broncos and Rockies fan. She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren; as well as many nieces and nephews and friends.
She was an artist with a special talent for sketches and painting; as well as the many precious moments she captured on camera. Bev made over 100 beautiful afghans, keeping only two or three for herself, giving away all the rest - most family members received one of these works of art for a wedding present and on the birth of each child.
She often stated, “I don’t know why God has blessed me so much.”
