

Bill was born in Hamilton, Ohio on November 2, 1952. He was the only son of Bill Jr. and Joan (Ertell) McMurray. He had two sisters, Patti and Jeannie. The family moved to Brighton, Colorado when Bill was a child. He was raised in Brighton and graduated from Brighton High School. Bill attended the University of Colorado at Boulder for his undergraduate studies, as well as Pharmacy School, where he earned his Pharmacology Degree.
In 1980, Bill opened his pharmacy in Frederick, Colorado. It was there that he met the woman that would become his wife. Helen Susuras was working at the bank across the street and when Bill saw her, it was love at first sight. Helen and Bill were married the following year and remained happily so until the day he died. Bill and Helen welcomed two beautiful daughters, Natalie and Emily.
Bill was a pharmacist. He owned and operated Dacono Drug & Liquor, with Helen, for 30 years. He retired in 2010. He had a passion for golf and even attended CU Boulder on a caddy scholarship. Bill was an avid fly fisherman for many years. He enjoyed meticulously caring for his yard. He loved his family more than anything, including his beloved golden retriever, Sofie, and his grand-corgi, Lewis.
Bill was a devoted husband and father. He was loved and will be dearly missed.
Bill is survived of his loving wife of more than 41 years, Helen McMurray; daughters Natalie McMurray of Firestone, Emily Walz (Eric) of Eagle, Colorado; sisters Patti McMurray of South Carolina, and Jeannie Miller of Greeley, Colorado; and by his grand-corgi, Lewis.
