Bobby L. Briskey

Bobby L. Briskey went to be with the Lord August 16, 2012. He was 83 years old.He was born July 6, 1929 in Gering, Nebraska.In 1948 he attended the Colorado School of Mines. He graduated from LaSalle University with a degree in accounting in 1954.He married his high school sweetheart, Patsy Jean Best on August 27, 1949 in Lamar.From 1952 through 1969 he was an accountant in Lamar. He was a painting contractor and rental property owner in Longmont since 1971.Bobby was an active member of First Baptist Church in Lamar and after moving to Longmont at Calvary Church. He loved the Lord very dearly.He was a member of B.P.O. Elks both in Lamar and Longmont. He and Pat enjoyed square dancing.Bobby also volunteered for AARP at the Longmont Senior Center, Meals on Wheels and the American Cancer Society.He is survived by his wife Pat, three children Dennis Briskey (Susan), Danny Briskey (Linda) and Debbie Havens (Tom), thirteen grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren.Memorial services will be held 1:00pm Saturday, August 25, 2012 at Calvary Church. Cremation at Ahlberg Funeral Chapel and Crematory. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to Calvary Church, Cal Farley's Boys Ranch or Family Hospice and sent in care of Ahlberg Funeral Chapel.
