Bonita Joyce McCollum (Hamilton)

Bonnie was born Bonita Joyce Hamilton on May 29, 1939 in Boulder, Colorado to Benjamin and Louise Hamilton. She had three siblings; Laverne Shaw, Fred Hamilton and Lynn Hamilton.

Bonnie leaves behind her husband of almost 57 years, Preston C. McCollum of Longmont, CO, their only daughter, Jody Hodgson of Laffayette, CO, and their youngest son, Mike McCollum of Longmont, CO. She also leaves behind six grandchildren and their families; Dustin and Erin Hodgson and their son Deric of Alaska, Heather and Scott Lee and their daughters Lindsey and Allie of Alaska, Rikki Everett of Ohio, Michael and Jessica McCollum and their daughters Julie and Laura of Florida, Crystal McCollum of Washington and Daniel McCollum of Washington.

Bonnie graduated from Boulder High school in 1957 and married Preston on July 5th, 1958. She worked as a manager at World Savings Bank both in Boulder and Longmont for many years. She retired in 2000. Bonnie loved to travel and frequently visited Disney World with her husband. She spent many years raising and adoring toy poodles. Her quiet, unassuming love will be greatly missed by all of her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her oldest son, Monte McCollum in 2003. There will be no services by request.
