
Bonnie Jean Skoczelas McGrath of Trinidad, died December 29, 2007 in Trinidad. She was 74.Bonnie was born on November 13, 1933 in Southgate, California to Samuel Harding Osborne and Vera Mae Morrison. Raised in Southern California and graduated from high school in Orange County. Shortly after finishing high school, she volunteered and served four years in the U.S. Air Force.Bonnie married Leon Skoczelas and started their family. They were later divorced. She later married Gerald McGrath. They too were later divorced.Bonnie went to work for IBM and had a twenty-one year career with them. Moving up through the company, she eventually helped with New Product Development. She retired in 1991.Bonnie had many and varied interests, she enjoyed working with dried flower arrangements, gardening, sewing and cooking. She volunteered many hours for the Longmont Coalition for Women in Crisis, something she cared deeply for and an advocate for women in a difficult circumstance or situation.Preceding her in death were her parents and both former husbands and a sister.Surviving are her children; Donald Skoczelas and his wife Bobbi of Loveland, Rommie Skoczelas of Denver, Danna Johnson of Loveland, Ellen Bunker and her husband Greg of Lyons, Jackie Winom of Trinidad, CO, Dorothy Knappage of Phoenix and Doris Stonebraker and her husband of Trinidad; she is further survived by 13 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.A cremation has been held.Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., January 12, 2007 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, Lyons Building with Bishop Don Parks officiating.Contributions may be made to the Safe Shelter of St. Vrain Valley, P.O.
