Bonnie Lou Sorensen

Bonnie Lou Sorensen 81, passed away Friday, November 21, 2014 at home surrounded by her family.She was born June 12, 1933 in Fremont, Nebraska to Louis and Edna (Johnson) Tank.On April 20, 1952 in Fremont, Nebraska she married Harold D. Sorensen. They moved to Lafayette, Colorado in 1966 from Creighton, Nebraska. She worked as a seamstress and homemaker.Bonnie was a very active member of the Bethlehem Lutheran Church.She was a 4-H leader for many years and also enjoyed sewing, gardening, traveling, spending time with her family, and especially her grandchildren.She was preceded in death by her parents, one son-in-law Terry Wade, a brother and a sister.Bonnie is survived by her husband Harold, son Rick Sorensen, three daughters Diane Wade, Wendy Mears, JoAnn Wolters (Jim), six grandchildren Chris, Karen, Mandy, Jennifer, Phillip, Brandi, and four great-grandchildren, Antonio, Emily, Ryker, and Leland.Memorial services will be held 10:30 am Saturday, November 29, 2014 at Bethlehem Lutheran Church. Cremation entrusted to Ahlberg Funeral Chapel and Crematory. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to Bethlehem Lutheran Church in c/o Ahlberg Funeral Chapel.
