

Brian Emery MowreyOctober 26, 1976 ? July 16, 2006Deeply loved husband, son, brother, grandson, uncle, cousin and friend left this earth on Sunday, July 16, 2006. Brian was born in Fairbanks, Alaska where he grew up and attended local schools and graduated from the University of Alaska Fairbanks with an Electrical Engineering degree in 1998. While attending the University he met his wife Gwendelyn Kay Wright of Ketchikan, Alaska. They had just celebrated their 10th wedding anniversary in May. After graduation, Brian and Gwen moved to Longmont, Colorado where Brian has been employed with IBM for the past 8 years. At the time of his death, Brian was pursuing his master's degree at the University Wisconsin at Madison in Engineering Management.Brian was bright, humorous and a loving family man who is survived by his wife Gwen Mowrey, parents Emery and Debbie Mowrey, brother Patrick Mowrey, grandparents Gertrude Rodgers, Coralie Peterson, Gordon Mowrey, Jack Wright, father-in-law Ken Wright, brother and sister-in-law John and Deana Wright, nieces Annie and MaKenna Wright, numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and many dear friends.Brian enjoyed spending time with family and friends traveling, camping, cooking and playing cards. He also had a voracious appetite for reading and shared that love with others. Brian may be only a dad to his four dogs and cat but his fatherly presence was very evident in the many children?s lives that Brian and Gwen have opened and shared their home to, including Jenni, Erica and Fiona.Donations in Brian?s memory may be made to the University of Alaska Alumni Scholarship Fund for Engineering Degree Seeking Students, 201 Constitution Hall, P.O. Box 750126, Fairbanks, AK 99775.Please join us for a celebration of Brian?s life at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, July 21, 2006 at Sandstone Ranch, Longmont. (Drive east on Hwy 119, one mile past the intersection of Weld County Road 1. Turn south at the second entrance and follow the signs to the group picnic shelter.) A barbeque will follow. Casual attire is requested to celebrate ""A Brian's Hawaiian Shirt Friday"".
