

Brian Kent Osell, beloved husband, brother, step-dad, and grandpa, passed peacefully away on February 28th, 2020 in Johnstown, Colorado. He was born on December 13, 1950 in Minneapolis, Minnesota to the late Vernon and Elvira (Ziegler) Osell.
The Osell family moved to Lakewood, Colorado when Brian was 4 years old. He grew up and attended schools in the Lakewood area. He graduated from Lakewood High School in 1969. After graduation Brian worked at various jobs in the Denver Metro area. He lived, worked and continued his education in Newport Beach, California and Albuquerque, New Mexico before moving back to Colorado.
Brian moved to Longmont in the late 70’s and was working at Waddle Manufacturing as a technician/computer programmer. He worked in the precision sheet metal industry until his retirement in 2013. In 1991 at Waddle Manufacturing Brian met the love of his life, Emily Archuleta. They married in Longmont on Sept. 9th, 2000. Together they enjoyed camping, hunting, fishing, riding their motorcycle, traveling to many states and working puzzles for many hours. Brian loved to read, especially science fiction and listen to music of all genres.
Family was very important to Brian, he enjoying spending time with his two grandsons. Brian is survived by a host of family that includes his devoted wife, Emily Archuleta, loving step-daughter, Misty Gwin and her husband, Jason Retchless, precious grandsons, Jackson Retchless and Ryker Retchless, siblings, Craig (Kathy) Osell of Castle Rock, CO, Judy (Ray) Isaacs of Arlington, VA, Jon (Josephine) Osell of Fort Collins, nieces Lynn (Osell) Garrison, Amanda Osell and nephew Jon Michael Osell as well as many cousins and friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held 11am, Monday, March 9, 2020 at Howe Mortuary. Howe Mortuary is taking care of cremation arrangements.
