

Bruce Lee Martinez entered into Eternal Rest on Tuesday, January 27, 2026. As quickly as he left this earth, he entered this life prematurely on April 27, 1977 to Nash and Carmen Martinez, formerly of Erie, Colorado.
He grew up and attended Erie Schools. He was a graduate of the Erie High class of 1996. Bruce was an active participant in sports throughout his childhood. He continued to support young athletes coaching in wrestling, baseball, and football. Bruce was also an umpire for girls softball.
After graduating high school, Bruce joined the Carpenter's Union, where he worked throughout his adult life.
In 2003, he met Dawn Ferrera. They had a small, but beautiful family which included their sons, Michael Ferrera and Braedon Martinez. Bruce and Dawn later divorced.
Bruce was an avid fan of CU Buffs never missing a game. Along with the Denver Broncos and Denver Nuggets. In his spare time you could find him joining in a game of poker or playing pool. Bruce always had a smile on his face, making many friends along the way.
He leaves behind his sons Michael (Beth) Ferrera, Braedon (Hailie) Martinez, granddaughter Isabelle Martinez, girlfriend Andrea Castaneda, father Nash Martinez, step-mom Teri Snyder, brother Nash Martinez III, step-brother Zach Tatum, step-sisters Alisha Snyder and Makalia Snyder, 2 nephews, 2 nieces, grandfather LeRoy Salazar, along with many aunts, uncles and cousins.
In eternal rest Bruce joins his mother Carmen Martinez, paternal grandparents Anastacio and Isabelle Martinez, maternal grandparents Jose and Josephine Navanjo and Margaret Salazar, six aunts, three uncles, and two cousins.
Bruce will always be remembered for his smile, laughter and witty sense of humor.
Visitation will be held at the Howe Mortuary Chapel 439 Coffman Street Longmont, Colorado, on Monday, February 23, 2026, from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm. A Rosary will take place at the same venue on February 23, 2026, from 5:30 pm to 6:00 pm.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church 323 Collyer Street Longmont, Colorado, on Tuesday, February 24, 2026, at 10:30 am. Graveside Committal will follow at Mount Pleasant Cemetery 520 Colliers Boulevard Erie, Colorado, from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm.
A reception will be held at the Carbon Valley VFW Post 9741, 870 1st Street, Firestone, Colorado, on February 24, 2026, at 1:30 pm.
