Carol Coffey, 91, of Longmont, Colorado passed away on Wednesday, February 24, 2021 in Tru Pace Hospice Center at Longmont United Hospital. She was preceded in death by her parents Bertha and Percy Kidney, her siblings Von, Betty, Robert and Shirley, her ex husband Marvin Coffey and her oldest grandson Chris Chandler. Carol was born and raised in northwest Missouri. She graduated from Albany High School in 1947. She worked as a court clerk at the Gentry County court house in Albany and as a transcriptionist/secretary at the University of Missouri in Columbia, Missouri. Carol and Marvin moved to Longmont in 1964. She spent her adult life as wife, mother and homemaker. Her family was the focus of her life. She was also a friend to many. She loved music, dancing and traveling.
She will be missed by all who knew and loved her. Carol is survived by her children; Steven Coffey and daughter-in-law Debra of Loveland and Deborah Berry and son-in-law Ron of Longmont, grandchildren; Matt Chandler (Kelly) of Windsor, Trevor Coffey (Molly) of Loveland and Natalie Coffey (Eric) of Windsor, great grandchildren; Hanna Saunders (Alex), Sara Chandler, Emma Chandler, Amelia Coffey and Barrett Hobbs, and great great grandson; Ethan Saunders.
Due to Covid restrictions, a graveside service for family will be held Thursday afternoon at Longmont Mountain View Cemetery
