Carolyn Rae Alexander

Carolyn (Carol) Rae (Bauer) Alexander, age 79, of Longmont, Colorado passed away on Sunday, August 16, 2020. Carolyn was born June 16, 1941 in Cudahy, Wisconsin to loving parents Raymond and Genevieve (Sands) Bauer. She grew up in her hometown, graduating from Cudahy High School in 1960.

On June 17, 1961 she married the love of her life, Thomas Alexander. Together, they moved to Milwaukee, WI in 1962. In 1965, the couple moved to Oak Creek, WI where they lived until 1976. During this time, Carol worked for Everbright. Carol and Thomas then moved to Whitehall, WI, where Carol worked as an Ambulance Dispatcher, until 1981 when they settled down for good in Longmont, CO. It was here that Carol worked at the Golden Comb as a Nail Technician until she retired in 2010.

Carol and Thomas welcomed into the world three wonderful children. Larry and Robert reside in Longmont, and Denise in Whitehill, WI. Their lives were blessed with seven grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.

Carol had a great many interests including spending time in Florida with her sister Delores (Dee Dee) Hodgson and her friends at The Villages. She enjoyed dinners with her special friend Nancy Sloan and bumming around with her special friend Irene Hallett. Carol enjoyed sewing and Coffee with the gang. She loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and would attend their many events.

She was loved and she will be missed.

Carol is survived by her sons Larry (Shelly) Alexander and Robert Alexander; her daughter Denise (Ryan) Lindberg; her sister Delores (Dee Dee) Hodgson; her grandchildren Stephanie (Brandon) Godfrey, Annie (Chris) Rosauer, Lindsey (Tyler) Gergen-Dickerson, Sunnie (Trevor) Toraason, Alex Lindberg, Beth Ann (DJ) Caldwell and Ryan Vasquez; and her great-grandchildren Hope Gurrola, Hailie and CJ Rosauer, Drake and Aspyn Dickerson, Derrick, Jaidyn, Jazlyn and Journey Godfrey and McKenna Caldwell.

She was preceded in death by her husband, mother and father, her brother, Kenny Bauer, and her sister, Judy Oelke.
