Christine "Chris" Mary Kuehn

Christine “Chris” Mary Kuehn, 72, of Berthoud, Colorado, passed away on September 11, 2026. Born in Worcester, Massachusetts on October 12, 1953, Chris carried with her a steadfast devotion to family, a generous spirit, and a kind-hearted warmth that made her deeply beloved and cherished by all who knew her.

Chris was born to parents Edward and Florence Belanger and grew up as one of seven children. She attended Shrewsbury High School and graduated in 1971, beginning a life marked by resilience, loyalty, and hard work—qualities that would remain constant throughout the years.

Over the course of her career, Chris served others with diligence and care, working in the healthcare industry as a medical assistant and bookkeeper, and later in the finance industry as a financial director. In every role, she brought both competence and a steady reliability, earning the trust and appreciation of those around her.

In 1980, Chris married Robert Kuehn. Together they built a life rooted in devotion and shared purpose, first living in Longmont before moving to Berthoud. Chris was a proud mother to their daughter, Kristi Coleman (Travis Coleman), and a loving grandmother to her grandson, Alex Coleman—roles she held closest to her heart, as her family always came first.

Chris found joy in the quiet, meaningful rhythms of home and community. She loved crafting, especially quilting and knitting, and she enjoyed reading as well as playing cards. She also treasured time spent with their beloved Akitas, whose companionship brought comfort and happiness to daily life. With Bob, Chris embraced the pleasure of the open road, traveling to three fourths of the United States, excluding the Northwest, Alaska, and Hawaii—journeys that reflected her spirited love of life and adventure.

A devoted partner in all things, Chris joined Bob in the car clubs they participated in, including the ColoRODans. She also valued the fellowship of her neighborhood quilting group and was a parishioner at Saint John’s Catholic Church in Loveland. Whether among friends, neighbors, or fellow parishioners, Chris was known for a generosity of heart and a humor that could brighten even ordinary moments.

Chris’s legacy is one of enduring love—steadfast, loyal, and freely given. A true spit fire, she met life with resilience and energy, and she will be remembered with deep affection by all who were fortunate to share in her life.

A visitation will be held at Ahlberg Funeral Chapel, on September 30, 2026, from 11:30 am to 12:40 pm. A Committal Service will follow at Longmont Mountain View Cemetery, 620 11th Ave, Longmont, CO 80501, on September 30, 2026, from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm.
