

Christine was born on January 3, 1959 in Greeley to Max Medina and Nancy Maldonado. Raised in Longmont, she attended local schools there.
Christine developed a great skill for crochet and sewing. She worked on various items for her family use and enjoyment. Her other interests were fishing, bingo and playing the piano. She developed physical challenges later in life that forced her to quite working on a regular basis. She took advantage of these disabilities to provide for her family, spending valuable hours looking after her grandchildren. They developed a closeness found in few families.
Surviving are her longtime soul-mate David “Eric” Gallegos of Greeley; daughter Veronica (Freddy Rodriguez) Medina of Greeley; son Christopher (Denise) Medina, of Greeley; two brothers Pete (Grace) Castanon and Ray (Annette) Castanon both of Longmont; and three sisters Marcella (Alfonso) Hernandez of Longmont; Theresa Cuevas of Longmont and Josie Venzor of Thornton; 10 grandchildren; Alyssa, Jacob, Paige, Jade and Nathaniel Rodriguez and Destiny, Christopher, Jr., Priseis, Aubrie and Sincere Medina.
A Recitation of the Rosary will be held at 5:00 p.m., Monday, April 22 at the Howe Mortuary Chapel. Mass of the Christian Burial will be held at 1000 a.m., Tuesday, April 23 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Longmont Mountain View Cemetery.
