Christopher M. Heath

Chris Heath passed away February 21, 2019 at Accel in Longmont. He was 68 years old.Chris was born on March 22, 1950 in Nashville, TN to Marvin and Lorraine (Smith) Heath. The son of an Air Force Pilot he lived in Japan and the East Coast before moving to Topeka, KS where he graduated from High School. He stayed in Kansas and graduated from Washburn University with his Bachelors degree and from the University of Kansas with his Masters.On June 10, 1995 he married Shelley M. Rowe. Together they moved to Frederick in 2000.Chris was an insurance agent working in property/casualty and later life insurance with Kansas City Life Insurance, CO.He was a member of New Horizons Christian Church where he served on the board. Chris ran for City Council in Frederick in the early 200's and was a member for the Carbon Valley Chamber of Commerce.In his free time he enjoyed fishing, fly tying and spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren. Going for drives with Shelly was one of Chris's favorite ways to get out and spend time together, especially going up into the mountains.He was preceded in death by his parents.Chris is survived by his wife Shelley; his children Andrea, Ali and Amy Heath; his stepson Chris (Angie) Reader; his sister Megan Cate; his grandchildren Adam Paulson, Gabby (Ryan) Maroon, Wyatt Heath, Maddy Heath, Sam, Ben, Grace and Kate Reader; and his great grandchild Max Maroon.A celebration of life service will be held at 2:00pm on Saturday March 9, 2019 at New Horizons Christian Church in Dacono.
