Claudia Lynn Grace

Claudia Lynn Grace of Longmont, Colorado, died Monday, March 31, 2008, at her home. She was 68.Claudia was born July 25, 1939, in Detroit, Michigan, to Claude Wood and Velma Storey Wood. She was raised in Brown City, Michigan, and was valedictorian of her graduating class. Claudia attended Michigan State University before moving to California. She received an accounting degree from UCLA. She worked in the accounting field in Whittier, California, before moving to Longmont in 1993. She married William Holdbrook on November 25, 1982 in Whittier.After moving to Longmont she practiced accounting with Jensen, Burcham, Stelmack, and Edwards. She later opened her own practice and was a member of the IACPA and CACPA. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Holdbrook, on December 9, 2004, and also by her parents.Surviving are her children, Philip Grace and his wife, Cody, of Superior, Michael Holdbrook and his wife, Diane, Don Holdbrook, David Holdbrook and his wife Tamara, and Deborah McCabe and her husband, Scott, all of Fort Collins; a brother, Rodger Wood and his wife, Shirley, of Brown City, Michigan; a sister, Marilyn Wood of Brown City, Michigan; 13 grandchildren, and 1 great grandchild.Visitation will be held Thursday, April 3, 2008 from 12:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. in the Howe Mortuary Community Room. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, April 4 at the Howe Mortuary Chapel.
