Clell was born on December 11, 1926 in Booneville, Mississippi to Albert Sidney Green and Carmen Eursel Robinson Green. Raised in Mississippi, he graduated from Booneville High School and soon joined the U.S. Navy. He was a radioman
Clell attended college and pharmacy school upon returning from the service. He stared is own pharmacy in Georgia, before moving to Colorado and working at Lowry Air Base as their pharmacist. He worked at the base for 36 years, retiring in 1986.
Clell married Ida Frances Cliburn on July 1, 1953 in Jackson, Mississippi. They enjoyed 61 years together in marriage. Clell was active in his church, First Baptist, of Aurora, Colorado. There he served as a Deacon and longtime teasurer for the church.
Preceding him in death are his wife; a daughter Joella Carroll; brothers Sidney and Jimmie Green; and sisters Aurita Burage; and Euple Harding.
Surviving are his son Ed (Cherie Johnson) Green of Longmont; a brother Johnnie (Pat) Green; 3 grandchildren Stephanie Carroll of Rockmart, Georgia; Jarod Carroll of Dallas, Georgia; and Caleb Carroll of Cartersville, Georgia; and 4 great grandchildren Ali, Eli, Deo and Jazzlyn.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, July 16 at the First Baptist Church, 1550 Havana St., Aurora, Colorado 80010.
Interment will follow at the Lakewood Memorial Park, in Jackson, Mississippi.
