

Connie Rae Roe, 56, of Ninilchik, Alaska and Lyons, Colorado, died Friday, April 6, 2007 at Longmont United Hospital.Connie was born May 31, 1950 in Longmont, Colorado to Elbert Calvin and Jacquelyn Patricia (Beagle) Poe. She graduated from Lyons High School in 1968. On July 13, 1968, she married Richard M. Roe in Lyons. The couple made their home in Colorado until 1985 when they moved to Ninilchik, Alaska.Mrs. Roe was a loving, dedicated wife and mother whose family was her world. She treasured her grandchildren, cherishing her time spent with them. She was always willing to help anyone, putting others' needs before hers without hesitation. Connie was also a talented artist who enjoyed drawing, painting, quilting and ceramics. Family and friends alike will miss her bright smile, laughter and generous heart.Survivors include her husband, Richard M. Roe of Ninilchik and Lyons; a son, Richard W. Roe of Ninilchik; two daughters, Kerri J. Norris and her husband, Dustin, of Soldotna, Alaska, and Tawna R. Roe and her husband, Artem Nazarov, of Soldotna; a brother, Brian A. Poe and his wife, Elly, of Berthoud, Colorado; a sister, Terrie L. Watson, of Apache Junction, Arizona; her father-in-law, Dick Roe of Lyons; her sister-in-law, Gloria J. Simpson and her husband, Wayne, of Montrose, Colorado; and her brother-in-law, Robert W. Roe, of Denver. She is further survived by six grandchildren, Alexis, Mercedes, Kyra, Spencer, Shaylynn and Venice Norris.She was preceded in death by a daughter, Patty Jo Roe; her parents; and her mother-in-law, Judy Roe.Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to Howe Mortuary, Longmont.
