

Corrine “Corky” Schaible, age 69 of Longmont died Wednesday, October 2, 2013 at Tru Community Care Hospice in Louisville. Mrs. Schaible was born December 24, 1943 in Eads, Colorado to Freeman and Ethel (Smith) Hollandsworth. Corky married William E. Schaible in Colorado Springs in 1969. She was a lifelong resident of Colorado.
Corky loved kids, in fact one of her hobbies was “raising kids”. She also liked to play computer games, enjoyed camping and fishing and the outdoors. She loved to work and the word retirement was not in her vocabulary. Corky worked for many years at the Diamond Shamrock at 9th and Main. Corky loved the Lord and attended both Faith Baptist Church and Hopewell Baptist.
Survivors include five sons; David Jones of Aurora, Melvin Schaible and his wife Ashley of Longmont, Billy Schaible and his wife Stacy of Frederick, Mike Schaible of Longmont and William Schaible of Longmont; one daughter; Andrea Schaible of Longmont. Siblings that survive her are one brother; Vernon Hollandsworth of Yuma, Arizona and one sister; Shirley Wallen of Lebanon, Kansas. Corky was proceeded in death by her parents, husband and daughter Cheryl Eggers.
Memorial services will be Saturday, October 12, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at Hopewell Baptist Church in Longmont was Pastor Corey Seulean officiating. Services will conclude at the church. Friends who wish may make memorial contributions to Tru Community Care Hospice or victims of the recent flood in care of Howe Mortuary.
