Cory Lewis Hatch

Cory was born in Oneida, NY to Mark Hatch and Cynthia Bird. He was the youngest of three children. Cory was a happy child who was always smiling. He moved with his mother to Longmont, CO in the year 2000 and graduated from Monarch High School in Louisville, CO in 2005. After high school, Cory joined the United States Navy in 2006 and served until 2012. He later attended Front Range Community College.

While in the Navy, Cory worked as an Electronic Technician. As a civilian, he worked as a Security Officer for Boulder Community Hospital and later as a Lead Additive Manufacturing Technician at Elementum 3-D. Cory was a hard worker. He was well respected by his employers and those who worked alongside him. He was known for his positive attitude.

In 2015, Cory met Jami Strong. The two quickly fell in love. Jami was the light of Cory’s life. Cory and Jami had planned to be married in November of 2020. Unfortunately, because of the pandemic, those plans were postponed. Cory loved Jami.

Cory enjoyed playing video games and had an extensive collection of humorous T-Shirts. He had a wonderful sense of humor and a smile that could light up even the darkest of rooms. Cory was easy going and down to earth. As one of his friends so appropriately put it, “Cory will be remembered for his quick wit, kind heart, and ability to bring smiles to the faces of those around him”. When life would bring challenges Cory’s way, he would laugh and joke, telling another friend, “If you ain’t laughing, you’re crying, boo”. Cory loved with every bit of his heart. He cared so much about the people in his life. With Cory around, life was just good. The world was a better place for having Cory in it and will never be the same without him.

Cory was so deeply loved by his family, his fiancée, and his friends. He will truly be missed.

Cory was preceded in death by his grandmothers, Naomi Bird and Gladys Hatch, grandfather, Lewis Hatch, his sister-in-law, Mary Beth Cyr-Hatch, and his step-father, David Alling. He is survived by his mother, Cynthia Alling of Louisville, CO, father, Mark Hatch of Eaton, NY, fiancée, Jami Strong of Dacono, CO, brother, Ryan Hatch of Canastota, NY, sister, Nicole (Harley) Wall, currently living in Spain, his nephews, Blake, Ashton, and Gabriel Wall, Jami's parents, Dave and Brenda Strong of Erie, CO; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
