Curtis Eugene Morey

Curtis Eugene Morey passed away August 30, 2019 at Longmont United Hospital. He was 50 years old.Curtis was born on November 25, 1968 in Jackson, WY to Edwin and Carol (Hill) Morey. When he was young they moved to Utah from Jackson but Curt loved Jackson and as soon as he was old enough he moved back to Jackson. He moved between Jackson and Utah for a few years until he moved to Colorado to be with his siblings. Curt was very handy, he enjoyed working on cars and was very good at operating a crane.He loved dogs, antiques, fishing, hunting, football, beer and nature. He was a great person always willing to help in any way that he could. He was an old soul who was probably born into the wrong era.Curt was preceded in death by his son Gage Morey; his grandparents Wardell and Zola Jenkins, his parents Edwin Morey and Carol Sommerfeld; and his nephew Richard.He is survived by his son Brennen (Kelsey) Morey of Salt Lake City, UT; his siblings Michael Morey of Johnstown and Christina (Shane) Tyre of Johnstown, CO; his grandchildren Kallie Wright and Kylie Morey of Salt Lake City, UT; his nice Cierra; his nephews Dayne, Kaleb, Connor, Jakob and William; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday September 14, 2019 at Ahlberg Funeral Chapel.
