Darlene Ann (Brown) Lee

Darlene Ann (Brown) Lee, age 88, of Longmont, Colorado passed away on Friday, October 23, 2026. Darlene was born on January 22, 1938 to Clinton John Brown Jr. and Pearl M. (Dove) Brown, in Denver, Colorado. Darlene lived in several places including Denver, Utah, and Kansas before her family settled in Longmont. After graduating from Longmont High School in 1955, she began her career at Mountain Bell as a switchboard operator.

She married Louis Harold Lee Jr. in 1956, and together they built a life well lived. A devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, Darlene lived a life filled with family, faith, and gentle kindness. Her quick wit and contagious smile will be missed. Her family was her ultimate pride, and her legacy lives on through the love she passed on to each of them.

Darlene was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Longmont. She found great enjoyment in her family, especially her "boys". She held a number of jobs throughout the years including positions at Empire Savings, Hover Manor, and she was a bus driver for the Longmont Head Start Center.

Surviving are her sons, Lonnie James Lee (Penny Clapper), Louis Scott Lee (Terry), Christopher Allen Lee (Donna), and Michael Darrin Lee. Also surviving are her grandchildren, Leanne Lukenbill, Karin Wojahn, Nathan Lee, Jamison Lee, Danielle Goldberg, Brittany Lee, Haley Lee, Noah Lee, and Mia Lee; her great-grandchildren, Emma Lukenbill, Grace Lukenbill, Grant Wojahn, Liliana Wojahn, Tom Lee, Sam Lee, Alexandra Lee, Eliana Lee, Lucas Lee, Sloane Goldberg, and Margot Goldberg.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Louis Harold Lee Jr.; parents, Clinton John Brown Jr. and Pearl M. (Dove) Brown; sister, Valdean Peppler; brother, Clinton Brown; brother-in-law, Glen Peppler, and sisters-in-law, Donna Brown and Eleanor Brown.

A Graveside Committal Service will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, November 16, 2026 at Longmont Mountain View Cemetery, located at 620 11th Ave, in Longmont, Colorado.
