I have too many happy memories with Dave to list them all. That time we had a Halloween costume party at the house on 3rd Avenue—he dressed as a mad scientist and, with water in a syringe, told the first kid who came that he needed a shot. The kid ran crying hysterically from the house because he thought it was real; it cracked him and me up every time we talked about it.  Dave's entry into the Guinness Book of World Records for most spray paint ever used on what at one time might have been a four-door woody wagon—I loved that car. That time in 1981 when we went by Amtrak to see the hot air balloon races in Iowa and got caught in a flash flood in the middle of the night trying to get back to the train station stands out. Listening to the Dr. Demento radio show on Saturday nights and discovering Led Zeppelin in his vinyl collection when I was 10 helped form my taste in music. Dave's passion for aerospace was a motivating factor for the career I chose. But the thing that's going to stick with me most is how positive, happy, and strong he was during his last few weeks; he sounded better than I've heard him in decades.

I knew Dave through AA in Longmont for over 25 years. The nicest man. He will be sorely missed.

I have missed our lunches together with Tom and your love of your friends and family.  I have several military, private and commercial pilots in the family and I learned more about aircraft from Dave than any family members.  I have been blessed by knowing him.

Dave was a Great friend . I'm glad we had the chance to share a little bit of our lives . Dave would bring peaches over to our house every
year for my wife and I where we would sit out on the porch and share stories.It was great a few years ago going to New Mexico with another friend to the Christ in the Desert monastery.My thoughts  and prayers are with Dave and all of his family , may he rest in peace . God bless Dave , a wonderful man.🙏🇺🇸🇺🇸🙏
