David Reid

David Reid passed away November 9, 2014 at Applewood Living Center in Longmont, CO. His wife Tara and family were with him. He was 42 years old.David was born on February 7, 1972 in Falls Church, Virginia to Robert and Joan (Wishum) Reid. He grew up in Wheat Ridge, Colorado; and at a young age loved Jesus and people. He graduated from Wheat Ridge High School, and attended the University of Montevallo in Alabama where he achieved his Masters degree in counselling. David then attended Denver Seminary where he achieved his Masters of Divinity.On August 9, 2008 he married Tara Metevier in Broomfield, Colorado; they were blessed with two daughters.David began his career as a mental health counselor at Hillcrest Hospital in Birmingham, Alabama; then when he moved back to Colorado he was self-employed as a tech writer in Broomfield; and then worked for Community Link in Longmont planning outings for developmentally disabled adults.David was a member of Flatirons Community Church; and enjoyed spending time with his family, friends, hiking, writing, and facebooking.David is survived by his wife Tara Reid; his two daughters Sonshe Elizabeth, 4 years old and Millie Evangeline, 19 months old; his parents Robert and Joan Reid; two brothers Phil Reid and Mike Reid; his sister Jules Reid; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.A memorial service will be held at 10:00 AM Tuesday November 18, 2014 at Flatirons Community Church 355 W. South Boulder Rd. Lafayette, CO 80026. Memorial contributions in lieu of flowers can be made to the Sonshe and Millie Reid memorial fund, David wished that his daughters would be taken care of.
