Delores Ann Drieth

Delores Ann Drieth, aged 82, gained her angel wings on February 4, 2022 at Good Samaritan Hospital in Lafayette, CO. Delores was born on December 30, 1939 in Longmont, CO to Lillie Clement and Glen Leonard. She married Abraham Drieth on August 23, 1957. Delores spent nearly all her life in Mead. She graduated from Mead High School in 1957 and she and Abe owned farms and a ranch in the the Mead area, as well as, in Yuma, CO. She was a school bus driver for St. Vrain Valley Schools for over 30 years. When she wasn’t driving the school bus, she was working on the farm and ranch with Abe.

Abe and Delores reached the rare height of nearly 61 years of love, laughter and tears before he preceded her in death on June 27, 2018. They raised four children and built a life together based on hard work, love of the land and the desire to explore new places. Her children describe Delores as the strongest, most selfless person they know. She always put others before herself and never hesitated to help those in need. She was incredibly kind and held fast to her Christian beliefs.

When Delores and Abe retired, they spent much of the winter exploring new places, meeting new friends and enjoying the warmth of sunny Arizona. One winter they drove from Colorado to Alaska to Florida — seeing family and friends along the way. When they were home Delores “got away” by joining her sister and friends for coffee at her favorite restaurants. An avid Broncos fan, she rarely missed watching a game. Delores also loved Elvis. She listened regularly to his music and collected Elvis paraphernalia. And, in the last few years, she could be found working on puzzles until midnight.

She is preceded in death by her husband and daughter Terri Holtwick(2016) and survived by her son Duane “Shorty” Drieth (Deb) of Longmont, CO and daughters Tami Oswald (Alan) and Cindie Reddington (Randy); and grandchildren Tambi Suell, Lincoln Holtwick, Nicole Drieth, Jessica Tally, Vanessa Schultz, Lexxi Reddington, Lauren Reddington and great grandchildren, Tyler, Cami, Lilia, Raelyn and Remy.

She will be remembered and acknowledged as a hard working, loving mother, loyal, unselfish friend that will be missed greatly.

A graveside service will be held at Mountain View Cemetery on Friday, February 18th at

1:00 pm.
