
Delores "Dee" Fay Risberg joined the Great Beyond on November 4, 2025, at the age of 86. Born on October 11, 1939, in Braham, Minnesota, Dee was one of thirteen siblings, growing up amidst her four brothers and eight sisters, as the child of Gertrude Ruby Byers and William Seton.
Dee was a beloved figure known for her humor and generosity. Although she had a variety of professions, she pursued a career as a bartender and enjoyed the lively social environment it provided. In her personal life, Dee's legacy continues by her five children-Anita, Diana, Mark, Dawn, and Chris, seven grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
A woman of many interests, Dee's hobbies included shopping, thrifting, crafting, painting, photography, writing, spirituality, and the paranormal. She had a vibrant love for traveling and was famous for feeding squirrels with the intent of making them her personal minions. Known for her fondness for cowboys, and all things western, Dee's spirit was always up for an adventure.
Her personal qualities, described as generous, witty, flirty, and creative, left a lasting impact on everyone she met. Dee's vivid imagination and flamboyant nature were balanced by her deep spirituality and curiosity for the world around her. A true lover of animals, she expressed gratitude for the simple joys of life.
In line with her generous nature, Dee donated her body for scientific research to the Forensic Investigation Research Station at Colorado Mesa University, ensuring that her legacy would contribute to understanding and knowledge for years to come.
Dee was known by many and loved by all. Her joyous spirit and lighthearted approach to life will be fondly remembered and deeply missed.
