Dear Wade, Lance, Wayne, Bonnie, and Joanie,
I was very surprised to receive and email telling me that DeLoris had passed away.  I had no idea that she was ill.  I was surprised when I did not see her at the class reunion last summer and that must explain why she wasn’t there.
I am glad that we had the chance to renew our friendship through Aunt Kay.  I am glad that Kay and Deloris enjoyed sharing time together sewing and cooking.  I am grateful to DeLoris and your family for all the times you took her birthday cakes and picnics. 
To DeLoris’ sisters and brothers, I have very fond memories of playing kickball in your backyard after school, and of all the Saturday evenings spent at your house watching TV, eating popcorn and playing games.  And then there were all the Watts Hardy, Wed. matinees we attended in the summer for the entry fee of a couple of milk cartons.  
DeLoris and I walked many steps together to and from school and she will always hold a special place in my heart and memories.

I'm so sorry to hear about your loss.  Dee was such a vibrant and integral part of Crest View, as she always had a smile and a kind word for everyone.  And, boy oh boy, was she a great worker!  It seems that everything she did was always done with such perfection.  
     Although she retired quite a few years ago, I have wonderful memories of Dee and the great conversations we would often have.  She always spoke fondly of her family and her grandchildren, and her love for all of you showed in the sparkle in her eye as she mentioned each of you in our conversations.  I know you all must miss her terribly.

I worked with Dee at Crest View Elementary for five years.  She was the sweetest lady and always had a smile on her face.  I hadn't seen her in a few years but I will always remember her.  She will be missed.
